Quick tip for anyone unblocking the drain holes for the first time:
A combination of an old credit card and a pair of plastic bicycle tyre levers is excellent for prizing open the front edge of the side vent. :)

PVC curtain wire from inside works even better and no broken clips or possible scratched paintwork. Hand might get mucky but its so easy the wash it through. I have posted this so many times over the years now.

My 2 was supplied with some wire and an explanation of wiggling it throgh the drains to clear them.
I did remove the vents for the first time this year and found some " jellification" and yes, lost what I would describe as a spacer on one side, replaced it with the outer case and inner tube from a ball point pen, held together with a dob of hot melt adhesive.
