Title: PFL Wheels and tyre size
Post by: Kaveney on January 30, 2019, 09:12
Good Morning all

Does anyone know if you could use the PFL 15 inch rear wheels with 225/45/15 tyres or will they be too wide to fit .

The rear PFL wheel is the below spec

Rear Wheels

Width 15″ x 6.5″
Offset = et45
PCD = 4 x 100

The FL rear wheel is the below spec and is fine with 224/45/16 .

Rear Wheels

Width 16″ x 7″
Offset = et45
PCD = 4 x 100

Thanks

I sold my facelift wheels for £50, so it should be easy to get some cheap.

Just thinking of going to PFL 15 inch in 195/50/15 front and 205/50/15 rear .

The set up I have at the moment is 195/50/15 front and 225/45/16 rear .

Car is for track work only .

The 15" wheel is a bit lighter, but narrower tyre gives less grip at the rear, so it really depends what you want to achieve. I like the handling with less grip personally, but I'm weird and run cheap tyres on purpose :)
