Title: Wheel spacers
Post by: conrank on February 11, 2019, 12:50
So, my tuner adviced 15mm spacers But I could only find 20mm, I'm running standard wheels and standard body..... I'm worried it's gonna stick out too much.

Why did your "tuner" advise spacers? This seems like a very odd thing to do if nothing else is adjusted.

Haha, I like the "" 's ,,,, he's basically a mechanic, but specializes in tuning and racing related stuff, just got used to calling him a tuner for some reason. So I'm Having tein coilovers installed and Poly drop links. He suggested to bring the wheels out a bit at the same time, I've seen ones with 15mm spacers, really looks good, I suppose 5mm can't make that much of a difference.

Before we get the boffins in; yes it most certainly makes a difference :)

But, you know what... If you like the looks.. Go for it :)

I've seen spacers for as little as 7mm,so they are out there.

Well I haven't seen what 20mm looks like, 15 looks great, that's my concern , searched for 15mm and just can't find it . :///

You will find many people who like spacers and many who hate them.

If you do go for them, go for good ones from a reputable make and avoid generic ebay ones.

Having said that though, I would not even consider them until You want them and you know the pros and cons.

PS I changed the ET of my wheels which effectively spaces them 10mm and that has caused all lots of work with having to roll the arches so 10 rather than 20 may be the way to go.

Wow, sounds stressful, :/ ... I'm not planning on slamming the car to the lowest, gonna go about halfway between stock and slammed. I like having the car with a wide stance but I don't want them to stick out.
