Post by: moredun on March 24, 2019, 12:39
Has anyone installed a Tire Pressure Monitoring System?

If so, what are your thoughts on it  :D

I have a tyrepal one on the 2 and have bought a cheap amazon one to go on the 86 although havent had time to fit it yet.

I like them! Definitely worth a go for under £20 now.

They are very accurate and give a warning if a tyre deflates below a set pressure

I am not particularly keen on gadgets nor on extra displays, but the system simply displaying on the mobile over Bluetooth directly from the valve cap does look an attractive innovation.

I have a Windows mobile, so apps not it's strong point  (:< >:) and the phone wont get changed till 5G is up and running and a choice of 5G phones are available.
As for the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, I decided to go for one that I can mount on the windscreen and solar powered  8)

:o :o  I took the sun visors out because I found them restricting my view  ;)
Yes, the interior mirror annoys me big time too, álmost to the point of taking it out. With two wing mirrors, it is not obligatory.

Be aware that you may likely find that the solar panel reflects in the windscreen ´hampering´ your view. Manufacturers spend an awfull lot of time and effort in designing dash tops avoiding that.
