Title: Ride height - stock and with coilovers
Post by: Nvy on March 28, 2019, 15:37
Hey guys,
Do you know the OEM height and alignment? I couldnt find them and i have the TTE springs fitted so cant measure mine. With the coilovers id like to add a bit of height so ideally looking for the OEM numbers or -15mm the most.

Also to the track guys, whats a good start with the camber and toe? I will be fitting MeisterR coilovers with some camber bolts in the rear.

Thanks

Do you find it too low on TTE springs? Normal OEM springs are super high! I've never scraped on the default Meister height.

I do not but the track that we have nearby needs a bit more height so nothing will be broken on the car if i go out of it. Thats why i want some more  mm plus :) MeisterR seems to drop at least 40mm in my opinion.

Toyota lists a measurement from the ground to the center of suspension bolts.  The measurements below are for early models with stock size tires (185/55-15 and 205/50-15)

Front measuring point
Measure the distance from the ground to the center of the front side lower suspension arm mounting bolt (inner). = 204 mm (8.03 in)

Rear measuring point
Measure the distance from the ground to the center of the front side strut rod mounting bolt. = 270 mm (10.63 in)

Meister R are much firmer than stock so for the same height I find they're much less likely to scrape.
There is a thread somewhere about this we had comparisons between stock and tein.
