Title: New Purchase
Post by: Flibby on April 6, 2019, 14:28
Well, i finally found my future pride and joy.

Not least down to the help of the forum and the members, but also as a garage i know happened to let me know about an MR2 that had just been traded in as they knew i was looking!

It's a 55 plate with 69k miles and a full service history. It's common silver but i like it  ;D I'm content that it's been well looked after as the garage i know have dealt with the owner for some time. If it's your cast-off and you know different, let me know!

I look forward to hopefully meeting up with some of you now that I'm not just a searching member! Thanks to all.

Few minor issues with the roof which are going to be dealt with along with a new MOT before picking up on Saturday  :-* few other servicing bits to do which i'm quite happy with as it gives me something to play with.

I'm certain it wont be in the same condition! But let's hope you find a way to keep yours. Someone wants a Mazda 2 I'm sure!

Congratulations, looks tidy.

Will we be seeing you at Ding Day?

I've seen talk of Ding Day, but I have no idea what that is.

Urban Dictionary was less than helpful:

Ding-Day
A fun day for cyclist on the 10th September. Fellow cyclists in London greet each other with a little 'Ding Ding - Hello' on their bicycle bell.

I'm guessing it's a meet up, but depending on when, of course!

Thanks for the heads up - I'm still getting used to the forum - where did the name come from?

Possibly because there's a guy who comes on the day to remove your dings for you on your car panels thanks to those annoying people who open their car door onto your pride and joy!  My pet hate I might add! :protest:  Mind you, this is only guess, I don't really know but I've attended twice and it's a great day/weekend.  :)

I think it's fairly difficult to miss that one  :D

In all fairness, yellow and red are both 'proper' sports car colours to me. I just don't have the gusto to pull that off!

Aw come on, we all know that the only real  reason Foxy came into question this week was because you wanted a proper coloured one again!!
There... I've said it!! ;) 8)

Gusto is not a prerequisite!
It's something you grow into. Lol.

Well it would be very difficult not to find you in a bright YELLOWautomobile. ;)
