Quick quiz, has anyone used or have experience of using RTV for bonding fibreglass parts onto plastic bumpers?
I appreciate Tigerseal or similar would be the norm but I don't need much and I've got plenty of RTV left over.
Bearing in mind the way it holds a sump on I'm thinking it'll be enough to hold a fibreglass spat on?

I dont even know what RTV is but I just want to remind you that this sounds a bit like someone (who must remain nameless for legal reasons) deciding double sided tape would be enough for some spats.
Justsayin...
Buy some tigerseal and you will have lots left over for sticking random tat on.
I have no random tat to stick on!
RTV is the sealant used for oil sumps and cylinder block sealing etc, sticks like sh@t to a blanket.

Are you sure?
I would not have thought so, it's a sealant, sumps etc have bolts/nuts to "hold" the parts together ... :withstupid:

I hear what you're saying but have you ever tried pulling a sump off even after you've unscrewed it??[emoji851]

Like most sealants and superglue, a "sharp" tap, and it falls apart (:< >:)
