I found these on the E bay and thought someone might be interested in them as it would make your can unique, I have not ever seen a car with them on before and was tempted myself but again it is money that could go towards something else on the car.
Think
@Mikeymead has these or similar. Work very well on his red car.
Really fancied some of these. Then saw the the price with shipping (and cried). I would definitely get some for a reasonable price.
Have a set fitted on mine

Well, no discussing taste
nor what you think important.
It looks different but it is only chrome door handles, not a making the cár unique imo. You are spot on that you could also spend the moeny on something else; like a front strut brace or so. Far from ´unique´ and zero optical difference but it would make a réal difference.
If you want you car to stand out optically, that money would buy you enough ´vinyl´ to sériously change the image of the car.

I like to think unique and plenty of optical contrast between the chrome and black other important areas are also addressed

@Petrus The fact that it is a Toyota official part counts for something, also no worries about peeling clear coat on the door handles like you get with paint. However, you are correct, it is only a visual and I actually spent less buying a TRD front strut brace instead.

Agreed.
I wouldn't strip my car out like yours. If I wanted something stripped out I'd get a caterham or an Elise.
The same goes for my Rotrex V6 most people would just buy a boxster and be done.
All got different ideas and there are no right or wrongs.
Well apart from big wheels and hardtops in the summer.

Even thát ....
There was this bloke who took a ´project´ Healy 3000, dropped in a Supra turbo 6 and brakes, fabricated a hardtop and put it on large Chrysler steelies.
It was véry rough but one of the coolest rides éver!

Oh, and it has the interior mirror on the dash. I want that too!

Can't believe they put 2jz in that.
On the subject of big wheels and hardtops I am an immovable object.
It's just not kosher.
Big wheels and hard tops.
Just plain wrong.
Here I am in sunny spain. (Not quite as sunny as sunny leicester) and not a soft top to be seen.
Nice to see I am not the only person to go seriously off topic!! Lol
I wonder if relocating the interior mirror would work, because the stock location is bothering me quite a bit sometimes. I can't really imagine being able to see anything but sky in a dash mounted mirror, but it's an interesting proposition none the less.

How about some of these bad boys?! ^^^^
I am at the Málaga coast at the moment Ardent; twó cabrios in front of the appartment; mine and my gf´s.
Point is that starting from now it gets rather hot, the sun. The Spanish are accustomed to protect themselves, hence prefer hardtops.
The gf is a bit of an exception. Born and raised Malageña and lóves topless, bottomless, all-less...
To try avoi deviating even more, I opened a topic on the mirror issue Snelbaard, in ´General´.
For A minute there I thought you were going to write you'd opened a thread on your gf.
But thanks, that's really helpful.

Woman after my own heart.
I follow porky pig as my style guru.

Put the most decent one of thóse that Mountian girl took of herself in the Belle thread.
Back on thís tread; looked at it with ´different´ eyes and can see that a chrome door latch and mirror cover would indeed look cool retro. I think I´d like it. Rather costly though.

Lóve the retro look of the windscreen surround too.

Guilty on both counts. Can't wait to really get on your nerves at the next meet (shindig south?).
On topic, never liked the chrome JDM options. They went really chrome mad over there, they even had standard wheels in chrome, chrome interior mirror and chrome side vents. In isolation it looks completely naff, but the full set of chrome parts installed could look pretty cool I imagine. Never seen a UK car with the full chrome set before though.
It's one of those "go big or go home" situations. 😎
Got my set through a japanese seller on Ebay, just checked and there is some on there now.

The ones at £130.54 + £14.33 postage? Or have you found a better price?
I think those handles would look good on a sable car......

Bought mine a couple years ago but they were something like that.
I bit the bullet and ordered a set of these one drunken evening recently. One of my better drunk decisions probably 🤣 will post pics when fitted.
Chrome handles fitted to my sable car today, they look good!

Pictures or it didn't happen! lol
My set of these arrived this morning. Or rather I went to the postie to pick them up and pay the £17 import duty (including stupid royal mail "handling charge").
Has anyone got any tips for fitting them? Didn't come with any instructions. I think I can work it out but would be good to hear from anyone that's done it.

Feels like you could be on the cusp of writing your first 'how to'! ;)
Lots of picture please! ;)
I'll start you off.
1. Unlock the car.
2. Open the door.
3. Take off the trim
4. househead to fill in details!
Haha, fair play! Watch this space!
Well I obviously remember doing mine, I think access to a couple of the bolts was a bit tricky and the rods can be a bit of a pain. I'm sure if I had to do an other one it would all come flooding back to me as that's how my memory seems to work. Certainlly not an impossible job.
hardest bit is removing the inner handle surround. there is a vid on you tube that is helpfull
