Title: Apexi
Post by: Anonymous on April 3, 2005, 19:06
Just fitted an Apexi  to my 2 today, luv the sound in the high rev band,
not sure if it has given it any more power apart from the sound of power.

I didnt fit the heat shield that comes with the kit, has anyone els left this off
there didnt seem much room for that in the space  or should i try and sqeece it in there.

I had mine on, then removed it for last years JAE and TBH never noticed that much (if any) difference, other than it got dirty quicker without it!

I never had the heat shield on when I installed mine, but then it was only installed for a few months before I took all the mods on for when I was going to sell it..

just fitted mine today (cheers chris) but i dont remember it being that loud.
i followed a couple of 2's during a meet who had one fitted but cant recall it being as throaty.
maybe its cause i have no precats, who knows    s:D :D s:D

had something similar myself and someone suggested that the lack of throaty noise was down to air density at this time of the year, don't know how true that is but there is definatley less noise on mine at the mo and i do have my pre-cats still   s:( :( s:(
