Title: Collar kit yes or no
Post by: Nvy on August 6, 2019, 11:30
Like the title states I have used before a collar kit for my Civic. Do you guys think its necessary for our sweet cars?

Its used to center the subframe bolts when bolting to the chassy.

@Carolyn Have you noticed the subframe to move around? Do you think its worth it to fit a kit. Its 140$$ plus shipping.

Not noticed it to move, if it's properly bolted in.  It IS possible to get it slightly off-centre when installing, but a bit of care should avoid that.

I would not be spending that kind of money on it.

Thanks for your prompt answer! The civic had a great issue with the subframe and it surely worked on it but I trust you on that and wont spend the cash on that but will get an EGT gauge for the piece of mind :)
