Title: Short Hubs for aftermarket steering wheels
Post by: Rockingdad on September 22, 2019, 18:05
Hey everyone,

I'm on the hunt for a short hub for my driftworks quick release adapter to fit my OMP Superquadro. I bought one but the spline section is too deep to expose all the thread to put the nut on (I put a video up about it on my YT channel today). Can anyone who has fitted a short hub thay had all the nut thread exposed confirm what they fitted please?

Many Thanks :)

Thanks for the video.

Have you figured it out yet?

Ok so fir anyone happening accross this thread looking into shorts hubs, don't buy the chinese ones, the splined section is too long. I received the NRG short hub today from Driftworks and it fits fine. Costs about £100 at this moment in time. Product code is SRK-120H. Other suppliers and products may be available for short hubs :)

Cheers

Good to know, mine has a short hub and I've never felt quite comfortable with the fact that the whole nut is not engaged. Think I'll look at getting an NRG boss!

I rather liked the idea of a quick release at first but quickly decided against it because of the extra connections and complications, even apart form the extra weight. Bought an original collapsable OMP boss. Fits as OEM with the ´collapsable´ bit being a welcome compensation for the airbag delete.
