Title: Congratulations to me!!!
Post by: Fin on October 5, 2019, 19:55
Well, over 17 years since she last saw a Toyota factory, and at least 7 years since she saw the inside of a Toyota main dealer, my little girl sailed through her MOT test today, first time!!!!
I didn't notice that one of my number plate lights was out, but it turns out that you only need one to work these days, if you've got two?!

I álways go with my bum tensioned. No matter which car and it is un-be-effin-be-lievable on what things I have been turned back. One time non-homogated window tint foil. Mind; very light tint, the rear quarter window untinted, done 30 years ago when homogation of foil was still to be invented.

Ever so slightly ´misted´  plastic of headlamps is another popular one depending on whether they have a campaign on that going or not.

Another one was a smmall solar panel I had installed hard wired to hkeep the battery topped up. That was a ´grave´ too as it was a not approved (by manufacturer) change of the electric system. Never mind it was fused. I should have done it over the cigaret lighter plug...

Yes and handbrakes....
It is as if manufacturers cannot design a reliable system.

The rear license plate needs be lit. Two, three, one, light is ok. Over here not having it lit is a ´grave´.
Go figure. Not about safety AT ALL!! Only so the plod can red it a bit better.

Anyway, congrats.
