My only experience with the stuff is on a bike, a kit made in shapes to fit a specific model. I know that kits are made for cars.
I'll be fitting a TS bumper after it's painted & the inevitable paint chip is going to pee me off.
I've now seen video of thinner clear film being applied just like racing roundels are, - a big rectangular section onto the side of the car.
This must be much cheaper...does anyone have experience or knowledge of British companies doing it? Or who makes the product?
Is a clear wrap what you are looking for?
Any wrapper can do that. You can probably diy with an extra set of hands and a hair dryer.

My front spats were getting hit regularly so after getting them repainted got the 3m film put on and the are holding up well

Yep was told just wash and polish as normal been on 4 years
I got worried after the guy who does my spraying showed me what happens when you take it off sometimes.
It's luck of the draw it seems. So, great idea to do like Berns and do, say, the front bumper, lips, wing mirrors.
But whole car would make me nervous
