Title: Turismo.uk
Post by: Petrus on February 16, 2020, 15:33
Any member familiar with this outfit?

http://www.turismo.uk.com/avalanche.html

I would like to purchase a product but am a bit weary to just send over 350 quid without any knowledge of their business.

By all means pm.

Thanks,

Petrus

Not exactly "familiar" but haven't heard any horror stories, mainly just people deriding the "lookalike" nature of his kits, particularly the Porsche badges.
That said, if it's your thing then all his stuff seems pretty well made compared to others out there.

I am (still) interested in the headrest fairing.

Thanks for the feedback.

SpyderLee talked to him on his youtube video about the MR2DC national day last year.

I have seen him at a couple of shows. I would imagine he is fine to deal with but no idea about lead times for what would be one of the cheapest things you can buy from him!

Quite like the look of that.
No way would I pay more for a kit than a car is worth though.

As an aside.
Reading their about page, they are expanding. Their headquarters are in Nottingham.just down the road (next city)

Oh my, you put your foot in it now ;-)

No, seriously, I may sell something to the UK and instead of two time currency exchange cost, the buyer can pay the them, hence my renewed interest.
With this cover I would rekindle my idea for a soft cover tonneau as well.

Heard nothing bad about them, except their prices lol.

Would imagine they'd have a couple of each part in stock ready to sell but I believe the actual design isn't theirs, so not sure how long the delivery/waiting time would be. Depends if they're bringing it in from overseas or if they've got the moulds to make them in house.
