Hi guys and gals, just a quick one. Took hard top and fitting kit off my old 2 want to stick on my new 2 but have realised I left the rear chrome brackets in the old car so the question is do I really need the rear brackets or will it be fine without as it is clamped down at the side and front Cheers in advance gang

Nope you're going to need those unfortunately. The strikers on the side don't really hold it down. So there's a chance it would go flying on a bump
Yea, agree with
@shnazzle that it would be super risky to run without those.
Just the rear strikers are oft for sale on eBay so I'd pickup some there.
Ah bugger just my luck more money got to folk out lol cant believe they are selling for a ton thats one expensive mistake. Cheers for the help guys

That was mentioned a while ago but read nothing more about it, as is so often the case, so maybe it wasn't attempted or it didn't work out.
