Title: Rear control arm boots - Replacement
Post by: Akayfortyseven on June 10, 2020, 16:21
Hi all,

I replaced the rubber boot on the balljoint when I polybushed the rear arms the other year as they were both perished.

The boots I replaced with split quickly, due to the limited 'height' on the tapered section squashing it. I have tried several sets of replacements but they seem to all do the same after a short while.

Has anyone had any success replacing these with a long lasting alternative, or am I doomed to replace them every 6 months?

Note: Im not buying Hardrace arms or new from Toyota, Im sure something out there exists for these!

Thanks.

Hi all,

Apologies for the bump but I am looking to carry this job out amongst others, shortly.

Any tips welcome!

Thanks.

@Akayfortyseven

As you have "tried several replacements" maybe time to look at an alternative. TCB performance on here sometimes has good quality aftermarket products:
