Title: Petrol tank canister solenoid
Post by: Petrus on June 20, 2020, 10:57
The blue solenoid on the intake rubber: It opens/closes the line connencting the canister to the inlet manifold. How is it switched, when, under what conditions does the ECU trigger it to opene/close?

Thanks.

Mostly just at startup and coasting.

Thank you.

If I undertand it correctly the EU version only has the VSV for EVAP and the simple canister between tank vent and inlet manifold.
The US version has the rest hence the fixtures on the inlet hose and filter housing.
Would still be nice to know under which conditions the solenoid opens the ´purge´ line.
