Title: Tiny tear in hood repair advice needed.
Post by: MVV on June 29, 2020, 18:41
Hello folks, I've got a Dec 2005 car which is pretty much perfect. The one small irritation is a small tear has appeared in the piping of the hood surrounding the back window. It is small just across the piping. Don't know why it appeared but any ideas as to an easy fix? Even if just to stop it getting bigger.

I'm guessing the crack is where it folds, so it would definitely be best served by something like marine glue/sail glue and a small patch of donor material?

Thank-you Shnazzle. Can anyone link me to the appropriate glue?

try an outdoor supplier like Milletts.  When i was repairing a roof I got a patch of gortex material from them and a tube of seam sealer.
