Title: How to repair trim?
Post by: treeroy on September 22, 2020, 20:20
Hi, this essential piece of interior has snapped. This is the bracket that holds the stereo in.

Can I get some advice on how to stick this back together? How would you repair it?

I've tried Loctite superglue and it didn't even try to stick to itself.

I'm not sure if its possible to get this bracket as a replacement item. I can't find anything relevant on Ebay.

Thanks.

I can't even remember/work out how that one works as it's been a year since I stripped mine out but you're probably better off fitting the sides to the HU first, mounting the HU and then fixing the facia plate to the brackets with a dab or two of epoxy. Or even some 3M double sided tape, it's only a trim piece, the side plates are doing the work.
