Title: O2 sensor
Post by: Bad Dog on December 12, 2020, 09:17
OK so I've got a P0141 code fault.

Bank 1 sensor 2.

Bit confused as to which one it is I know it's one of the pre cat ones but which ?

When looking at the engine from the rear of the car, is it LEFT or RIGHT ?

one word answers please 😊😊😊

Easily found by googling... Bank 1/1 on right. Bank 2/1 on left. Bank 1/2 is post-cat.

Cheapest way to fix is a 4-wire sensor with a long enough cable & crimp the Toyota plug onto it.

Don't buy a cheap sensor even if it does say 5 year guarantee.....

Are all 3 sensors the same apart from cable length ? I've already ordered a DOX0204 which as I understand fits the top two ?

M18 x 1.5mm thread O2. That's it.  Keep the old one for the plug.

Correct. DOX0206 = the longer cable version.

if it's the lower O2 sensor, two things:
1) you'll need the longer cable length
2) you'll need a big 22mm spanner (not the normal O2 socket)

check my thread on this previously - Caroline (and myself+others) went into a lot more detail on parts, tools, locations, etc...
