Title: Front splitter
Post by: Mr2paul on December 18, 2020, 18:11
Hi all and I hope you are well. Judging from previous post I assume you are all well.
Front splitter regd but my last forum had a diy option that looked good but I can't remember what they used. At the time I thought a lot of trouble for looks when you should be tackling rust but despite my efforts I didn't beat design flaws.
Does anyone have info on a success diy job or is it a case of bolt on jobs ?
It's only a cosmetic thing but will help stand my car out...... Midlife crisis or wot ?
Your thoughts always welcome,,, tho Petrus will not be impressed at all.

Rogue use a sheet of plywood on their race cars, if you get some marine ply or resin bonded like Buffalo board that'll stand up to the weather you can soon knock something up from a cardboard template.

Well, actually, I have fitted one... of sorts;

It is almost the same as Toyota offered as a bolt on for later years; just a wee bit more deflecting profile instead of a straight lip.
