Publicity shots for this model appear to show the RED script on the wings overlaid red, anyone know what these models had when new?

Thanks guys but not particularly helpful. Yes there are RED badges on the front wings, but are they red paint or vinyl highlighted,  there are no RED badges on the bumper or elsewhere as far as I am aware from the Brochures.

I reckon they are painted coloured from factory, I've seen a few red editions with the red looking faded / discoloured. Many owners remove them it would seem
You should be able to buy replacements from Toyota should you need to refresh the current ones

It's a badge finished in red paint but over time wears away leaving it silver

Thanks, mine are silver or chrome, may consider getting artistic with some red paint.

Mine appear to have had a red covering over the "chrome" finish which is all but invisible now!

I remember speaking to Dick Sloan a while ago and him saying the RED badges fetched a good price, not sure if that means you cant get any from dealers anymore?
