Title: bang
Post by: Anonymous on May 2, 2005, 12:48
Driving fast in the outside lane of local dual carriageway on Saturday when I hear a worrying crack/bang noise from behind my head on the right rear of the car. I pull over expecting huge damage as I had assumed that some motorway debris had hit me, anyway the damage is minimal, two small protruding (outward) vertical dinks below the aerial which means that either, 1. something got pulled into the engine bay before clattering the panel from the inside or 2. something came loose in the bay. I have no warning lights, engine and car generally seem the same as before and visual check has indicated that everything appears okay. Does anyone have any experience of something similar?

most likely with the amount of crap on the roads nowadays, surprised the wheel arch liner didn't contain it though
