The supercharger car owned by Gibla (Alan Beard) has been at our workshop having a few niggles dealt with.
It is now running really well (again!).
It's a hoot to drive.
Alan has very kindly agreed to let me share the car with club members for a while, before he sells it.
So, as soon as regulations permit, we'll be giving a few test drives to those who want to try it out. No obligation, just a chance to see for your self what it's like to drive.
You'll need to have an insurance policy that allows you to drive other insured cars not owned by you.
Just put your name down and we'll organise something!
Is it a 1zz or 2zz engine?
1 ZZ
Yes please! Very kind of Gibla (Alan) or I'd be more than happy to be a passenger! ;D
I'm sure most are familiar with the build thread....but just in case of
https://www.mr2roc.org/forum/index.php?topic=57942.0 < it's one hell of an interesting read.
Obviously I'm on the list.
For insurance, I think most people are covered for other cars but only 3rd party.
I'm assuming you mean full coverage
I'd certainly be up for that. I have an add-on to my Adrian Flux policy, for £20 a year I can drive any other car fully comp £20k limit & £500 excess.
We'll look at individual arrangements. With something like a £500 excess, it's still pretty much going to be - you break it -you pay to fix it.
I'll have a look at my Greenlight policy
I really would love a try in it! I'll need to check one of my policies!!
Id be up for a test drive, would be interesting to "feel" the difference
I do have experienced with supercharging, one of my bike is supercharged and that is totally nuts, although its a work of art

I'd never want to get rid of the Crisis and can't justify having 3 cars and it wouldn't do either of them any good not being driven regularly, especially as I'd probably find myself drawn to the SC more than the Crisis.
I'll stick to the big bus for getting my speed fix, for now. 😆

I beat that without trying; have talked myself out of buying a Maserati Biturbo 2 doors untold times.
A 1989-91 222 model is the sweet spot and they are rustfree over here.
Hopefully when i get my turbo working in the next few weeks restrictions will allow for some further travel. I'd love to come down and compare it. I definitely owe a few thanks for all the speeduino help too.
I'm looking at the weekend of 17th and 18th April for the start of test drives.
Get yerself booked in!
Under the 'rule of six', we can have a little bit of a gathering too!!
If the test drive would take you south, we have a self contained let on the property you are free to use 8)
