Title: Using lots of fuel !
Post by: Mickemo on April 10, 2021, 18:08
Im noticing a problem when driving Foxy - i'm using a lot of fuel!

Im getting approx 38 MPG but still using a lot of fuel but I have an idea of what the issue is....Foxy is so damn good to drive and I keep going on 'Micks Mystery Tours' and am really ramping up the miles.

Great little cars - so much fun !!

"Using a lot of fuel" in a Roadster is not so much due to poor throttle control, more to do with the steering.
The car can have a tendency to find the most circuitous route between two points and it can be proven that the distance travelled bears no relation to the distance between those points.
This tendency is particularly noticeable in dry weather conditions and where there is an open, twisty road.
I suggest that the fuel tank be kept on the high side of low to maintain this potential.

In this case the large amount of fuel consumed is directly proportional to the high smilage. ;D
