As the title states I will be buying new suspension parts. And the question is KYB or Eibach springs in addition to the Koni inserts. Please share any experience.

Do you want lower or stock height ?   both are quality springs so just pick the ones to suit your intended ride height, no need for a vote :D

Never had the car on stock springs, it came with shot shocks and TTE springs thats why I am asking for opinions.

What shocks are you using? Did you buy new KYB or re-using the old ones with the Konis?

If you bought new KYB, I'd just stick with using KYB springs to match.

I see but do you want stock or lowered?  that is your decision to make :D   both you mention are decent quality springs just depends what ride height you would like it :)

Personally i think the car looks better and handle a bit tighter on the Tein springs ( and Koni dampers) that i have, also tried Teins on original stock dampers but didnt feel as sharp but the dampers had a few miles on them, ground clearance is of course reduced with lowering springs so need to be careful on some roads or speedbumps etc.

Read this thread.  Input from numerous, including Beachbum who's done most spring experimentation.

To make your decision easier, Eibach no longer lists springs for the MR2.

They do still list them over here in UK/Europe (see link below) and i think are available to buy, that said ive not tried to buy any so cant say for sure but im sure somebody on here did recently.

Eibach catalogue (http://web2.carparts-cat.com/default.aspx?34=0,2047566&240=0&32=14535&230=29&1271=48&1272=66c7b5bc-8f92-4abc-96b4-51dabf9a10d4&1273=1&10=0D3FF29EA2DF41F7892ADABAB6988508279004&14=4&12=130)

When I did a suspension refresh a few years back I bought a full KYB setup springs & struts. At the last minute I saw a deal on the Eibach springs & bought them, had them fitted & the geometry done by a race engineer. It looked great but as the chap said it was "all spring & not enough damping" with the effect it rather bounced along the road.

I changed back to the KYB springs & had him redo the geometry. "Much better but now it looks like a combine harvester".

If you do go down the Eibach route I hope the Kone struts are a better match.

I decided that the price was good enough and ordered koni fronts for just 200 euros. Also Eibach springs and if I dont like them ill sell them on here.  Now will source some rears and will be set.

I bought Eibach springs last year. Very happy with them.

Eibach used to make the TTE springs.

See, I was wondering about this too.
Have KYB shocks (obvs) and want some springs for the new car which currently looks like a tractor.

Had Teins before, but wouldn't mind having a go at something different (not to mention green isn't really in my colour scheme).

The eibachs are now coming in around the same price too (they used to be much more expensive).

Reading through the other thread, it suggested not to do it, but as Steve said, surely OEM quality ride (without the height)

My wife just looked at me funny because i read this.

Nothing wrong with OEM setup, but thats something a race engineer would say i guess.
