Short OBD with a paperclip from pin 4 to pin 13 - insert key and leave ignition on for 30mins - 'hey presto' ECU now recognises key ??!!!

'Key folk' in this area are busy fixing expensive cars / understandable but frustrating.
Similar to what Scotte said, id be very suprised if it works. But worth a try i suppose if you're out of ideas
