Title: Re mapped
Post by: Garfy on May 28, 2021, 17:25
Afternoon folk 🙂

Now I've got the car I want I'm looking to get it remapped to my set up.

Currently waiting for a call from redline tuning in Basildon (I think) just because they mapped the unichip+ originally.

Any recommendations for somewhere else that knows the cars?

TIA people,

Have a great weekend all
😁

Honestly not sure who maps unichips these days.
They definitely mapped most of the SP kits so if the same people still run it should be OK.
Why are you looking to re map?

Hi Scott's,
Thoughts are, car is where I want it, no further enginey, suspension type mods.

Time to get it set for my car.
There's a couple of things that aren't "quite right"

ie, after a little hooning, and when coming to say a roundabout to stop, the engine cuts out (gettaround is to put the clutch in before roundabout, let it cut out then let clutch out again to start)

TBH I'd just like it set up and checked over so it's running right for me. 🙂

Sure they can tweak it a little

Redline tuning would have mapped that ecu originally and I would imagine they would be the best to tweak the original map and to confirm it's correct for your car. Other mappers will have to create a new map which would cost you more money and time spend with them.
Richard isn't the best at replying but he knows his stuff when mapping.
Fixing idle should be an easy fix for him.

That's an easy fix.
My V6 did that at first after mapping

If you've got a Unichip, take it to Redline. Believe me, its the only way

It seems a common error when mapping not way that's the case. Really does spoil the drive of the car, plus makes it feel less like oem
