Title: Run Flat tyres?
Post by: Anonymous on May 12, 2005, 18:16
Are they available for the Mk3?

If so where is the cheapest place to get them from.

Would be good to get rid of the 'space eater' tyre in the front.

I don't know if the run flat tyres are available for the '2, but someone I know had a Lexus SC430, (with run flats) and said he was disappointed in the handling of the car. I do remember reading that those tyres don't seem to perform as well as normal ones due to the internal construction.
I cant imagine they would lend anything to the handling of a '2. Stick to the regular tyres IMHO   s:wink:  s:wink:

plus removeing the spare tyre from the front may seem like an easy way of removing weight but it will cause you to have steering problems!! better to leave it in
