Title: Rear Arms
Post by: Flibby on November 27, 2021, 00:27
Has anyone had any luck finding the rear arms which attach the hub to the subframe for reasonable prices? My other half is expecting next year and unfortunately I am struggling to be able to justify £700 + for a subframe and the hardrace arms from Mr2Ben which are eyewatering for what they are.

I have been trying to get hold of TCB to see if they have any parts from breakers that might clean up, and hopefully a subframe that just needs some welding that I can get hold of...

Try one of our specialised breakers, Dick sloan (message over facebook) or Andy at J-spec. He's about on here now or has a website with contact details.

May i ask what is wrong with the arms you have?

I don't know what price Mr2 Ben is asking for the hardrace arms and he's usually at the upper end plus a bit more but they're a decent bit of kit. Adjustable and rose jointed rather than the standard rubber bushed.
TCB do a replacement bush for one of them but I'm sure it it's a different size so needs a little work, or you can get polybushes to refurbish your own ones.
TCB are usually better on price than Mr2 Ben.

Thanks Iain.

I will get onto them.

The arms - probably fine but I believe that they have 'become one' with the subframe and may have to be cut off/out!

Thanks Jane - hopefully I can wangle keeping the two for at least 18 months or so!
