I can confirm it, but only later... I'll check on the instructions that came with the Cruise Control Kit.

I think the TACH signal to the instrument cluster is plain old analog, by the way.  I was going to use that as an input to a "window switch" (RPM-activated switch).  I haven't checked the signal... that's just what Blitzo on Spyderchat told me.  He would know.  If you want a pulse, it's going to be elsewhere.

According to the Cruise Control manual, the TACH signal can be found on the white wire on connector IC2, Pin 7...

See the scheme right before the last picture:

Hope this helps.   s:) :) s:)

Bugger if it is, the shift lights i have work off a digital input only!

I, on the other hand, am 95% sure it is digital. At least that's what the MWR cruise control manual says...

I already it's made of rubber but... Is it green? It looks green in the photo. Do you know if it can be bought online? I'd be interested in getting one.

yes and no to the green colour, its actually see thru rubber and the green part is the PCB inside, wierd thing is the pcb is rubbery as well and bends. Unit comes with 2 stickers to go on top of it to cover it up if you want. I'll find some places that sell it, i got mine from a motorbike shop as thats what its designed for

Stu,

Did you consider putting it more in your sight line on top of the dash, or are wires a problem for that?

Where it is, presumably it is easier to "glance" at the lights rather than "look" at the rev counter?

Quote from: "roger"Stu,

i could have done if i'd drilled a small hole in the top of the instrument surround, but here lies the problem, i dont want to, plus it could get annoying as it is staying on the car permanently. The unit does have several modes anyway and some attract your attention anyway without having to move your eyes off the road and thats good enough for me

Quote from: "roger"Where it is, presumably it is easier to "glance" at the lights rather than "look" at the rev counter?

you dont have to glance at all, the lights can be seen quite happily thru your peripheral vision without taking your eyes off the road

this mod isn't worth doing unless your going on a track day or you half deaf, like me  s:roll:  s:roll:   i'm doing both so it was a must have or else i'll be on the limiter all the time  s:wink:  s:wink:
