This might sound like a stupid question but do you have to take off the rear bumper to replace the exhaust, i have a new one to fit myself and dont see quite how its going to come out from the top as it all looks a bit tight ??
is there a section any where on fitting a new one ??
Paul
it won't come out from the top
it will come outr from teh bottom
it's easier with teh bumper off though
try the articles section

good luck then s:roll:  s:roll:
When I removed (and everntually refitted!) my remus exhaust, I took the rear bumper off and then also the thick rear chassis bar off to get the easiest access to the engine bay. The problem comes when trying to thread it out, but if you had the car high enough it should be a lot easier to drop out the bottom..
yeah i had to remove the stabiliser bar as well, makes it a hell of a lot easier
I always take it through the rear...above the collision protection bar (whatever it's called). It comes through quite easy once you figure it out.
Probably the best bit of advice is to have a large supply of PlusGas to unsieze all the (undoubtedly) siezed bolts.. (Well, ok, not the best bit, but..)

I didn't think I could get it under the bar and was too lazy to remove the anti roll bar. It took a while during first time, but now it takes like half a minute...
(can you tell it's been on and off quite a lot? s:shock:  s:shock: )
Aaron, you're a sick man...
get that mind out of the gutter!! s:wink:  s:wink:
Well had a go and all went well taking the supports etc off the box, couldnt drop it out the bottom without taking off (or attempting to take off ) the second section to the manifold. End result, one stud removed no problem, one sheared off and one that wont move a mill so now in its in my local garage waiting for the snapped stud to be taken out and for them to get the other out !! so much for saving a bit and doing it myself.
Stand bye for update on the bill, my guess is £50 to £80 !!
second section??your not taking the cat out are you!!!? s:shock:  s:shock:
where are you located, perhaps someone can help
No not changing the cats but need that section off to get the room to drop the box out, couldnt see any way around it, i am in New Haw near weybridge but its in the garage now any way so will wait and see now.
cheers,
PS, New to the site so didnt know people were that helpful but if i get any other problems will bear it in mind
