Reconditioned a loom.
Took it all out, stripped it, checked it. Took an age but found 2 broken wires.
Anyway - the relay box above the gearbox/engine mount on the passenger side wing.
I've 3 high amp wires, 2 clearly go across the alternator/starter fuse/relay and bolt in there. However there is a 3rd wire, black with a green band, not quite as thick as the other 2, but still meaty.
Where the hell does it go? I don't recall removing it but it is part of the loom.
Cannot see where it goes. Unfortunately I've lost my phone last week and.... that had the removal photos.
There's a single Earth strap runs across to bolt into the top of the gearbox, can't remember the colour offhand but it's a decent gauge cable with (possibly an 8mm?) a circular connector on the end.
Worked out the confusion after swinging by JSpec to look at a broken car.
Simple as having an extra wire as my battery is in the passengers foot well. With making a fresh loom from another 1zz loom, it had a wire for - presumably - the negative battery terminal. Which is redundant for me.
The black and green is the alternator wire.
