After having a pre cat failure back in Febuary, had a new main cat fitted etc.. Anyhow, since having it back, it's been somewhat hungry on oil. So I took it back too Mr T. It had used some 6litres in the last 1000 miles s:shock:  s:shock: So when they checked it 2 weeks ago, it needed topping up and they stuck 2 litres in. Took it back today for checking, and it had consumed 2lites in the last 400 miles s:shock:  s:shock:
So the guy came out and basically said 'oh dear'. It's booked back in for 2 weeks when a Warranty Engineer is going too have a look at it, and hopefully do whatever needs doing too it, although trying too find out what exactly is wrong with today was a like trying too get blood from a stone, but by the look of the guys face, it wasn't good at all..
So what you reckon, engine dying a slow death??
Did they replace the main cat after pre-cat failure? Actually, what exactly did they replace?
just the main cat after the failure, and the precats and a rebuild

more like a quick one, sounds like all the seals/gaskets are blown, gotta be to use up that amount of oil, get a new block and cat
What he said. Unless they sort the problem out properly (and we're talking new engine, cat and pre-cat here) then you're going to end up with the same problem again.
Ye, sure I've read other peoples engines have died after Mr T not fixing the original pre cat failure properly. I don't really mind all that much, it's all under warranty, and if i get a shiny new engine, then I'm a happy bunny. Only thing I'm cheesed about is the amount of time I've wasted going back and fore too Mr T trying too get them too do anything
