Title: Rear discs and pads
Post by: PaddyDT on September 15, 2022, 13:43
Time has come to change these.

Is there a difference between face-lift and original.

Own a face-lift with 16 inch rears.

If different, anyone know diameter/part number etc?

Thanks

My 2 is face lift. Just put your reg into Euro Car Parts/Autodoc/any parts store really and you should find what you need e.g. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pagid-brake-disc-104820348 (https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pagid-brake-disc-104820348) are rear discs that will fit (plus some measurements on there too).

I've recently bought 2 sets of these rear pads: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352380384846 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352380384846) - one already fitted and a spare for track daying.

Brakeparts international do list the rear calipers as different between the FL and PFL but I dont think the discs or pads are different.

I assume you are looking at road use. I am happy with the QH plain discs I bought off ebay, they were cheap, work fine and come with an anti rust coating (like pagids also do) which works well to keep them looking good. I have paired them with EBC ultimax pads and these work fine also.

You can spend a lot more than this but a plain disc with a known brand pad works well enough for the light weight of the car.

Since you're going to be in there, are your handbrake cable rubbers ok?

Thanks all. Looks like they are standard then.

I'll check the handbrake rubbers.

If not in order you may be in need of these that have been used on our cars hand brake cables:
