Hi all,
I recently found one of the rear wheel bolts had become threaded. Looking at the workshop manual it looked like a fairly easy job to replace so I bought a replacement bolt from Mr T, but since I started trying to get the old one out I can't see how on earth it is supposed to be done with the Axle hub still attached.
The manual just says "remove the hub bolt" s:roll:  s:roll: - I wish it was that easy...
Anyone ever changed one of these or had them out for any reason - if you could let me know how you managed it that would be great!
Thanks,
Crisis over - I found this on Spyderchat:

The axle hub isn't round all the way - there is a little groove in it and all that needs to be done is to swivel the brake disc until the wheel studs line up with the groove and then pop them out. Why didn't I notice this before - doh!
Hi Sam,
Glad you got it sorted - nice to see you back on here! s:) :) s:)
It says use a clamp to remove it on there-----
Nah!
Just smite it with a hammer, it's only a spline fit, then the new on taps in.
Hi again,
Yep a hammer it was in the end - no chance with a clamp! Anyway after all that it wasn't such a bad job after all.
