Title: Headlight aim height?
Post by: fawtytoo on April 30, 2024, 14:15
Since having the suspension replaced, the headlights need adjusting. But to what height?

Almost never driving my 2 at night I would not have noticed after changing the shocks, with KYB, and front bushes, but it has since passed the MOT, and why not as I replaced ( more or less) like for like?

The MOT was how I found out. One is a tad too high and higher than the other.

The new suspension is notably higher at the front now which can be seen at the wheel arches.

Very strange to my way of thinking, could there have been lowering springs previously? But even then strange that one side is now higher than the other.
The first time I had my 2  tested by an independent the lights were found to be too low but the tester did adjust them to pass at a nominal charge.

One headlight is new.

So what do I set the headlights to?

That would explain why the lights are at different heights.
As to a setting height my MOT tester adjusted them for me. Did you get an MOT pass?
As to heightI know not but if one is high and one is OK then as a starting pointI would lower the high one to be in line with the other.
