Title: Manifold nuts
Post by: Pete McCue on August 29, 2024, 11:29
Hi All, I've noticed that the manifold nuts on my car are getting very corroded. Before they get to the stage where I can't get them off, are there stainless or brass alternatives out there? Cheers.

Brass M8 x 1.5 are findable.

You'll find the studs often come out with the nuts.  No biggie.

Stainless studs readily available on ebay.  Sometimes getting the nuts off can be a problem.
I highly recommend these. https://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-bolt-nut-remover-set-6-pcs/6083d
Note they are 3/8" drive.
I used the largest size on the Amigo nuts the other day. Looong ratchet, but 100% success.
