Title: Rear brake hoses
Post by: Fin on September 22, 2024, 15:00
Silly question time...
While adjusting my handbrake, ready for MOT test, one of my rear hoses started leaking.
Ordered a new pair from MR2BEN, which arrived Friday.
All good, but they are slightly different.
The only difference I can see is that one appears to have an attached washer where it bolts onto the holder, my old ones don't have this.
Are they sided?

Iirc they are handed. The washer may or may not be required on both sides, may be a different batch. The fittings/ hose ends are what I recall as being handed and I fitted my new hoses in comparison with the one that I took off.

We have used SS lines and both rear lines were the same.  Both had the small tab on the hose to secure the hose to the strut housing.
