Title: Replacement hood
Post by: Jonrav on October 2, 2024, 09:03
Hello all,

I've done plenty of searches on this subject but wanted to get an upto date opinions on where to get my new hood fitted.

So far I'm tracking:
Swansea Raymond hood

But I've also heard some good things about
SW Roadster hoods,Hoodtech and Monsoon car hoods.

If you've had a good from either of those places or have alternatives, I'd be happy to hear about your experiences.

Hi, based on reviews here, I booked Raymond last Nov. Earliest he could do the roof was end of Feb 24 (luckily I have a hardtop). Got there at 09:00, walked in to Swansea for the day, away by 14:00. Initial thoughts were fantastic, then slightly worried as it was difficult to latch the hood. This stiffness lasted for about a month, now works just fine. In summary, very happy, would recommend. Good luck.

:) plenty of info on hoods doing a search an there is a thread on them as well.

Swansea man is the go to for the cheapest hood and will not go wrong with it.

i personal went for the 2nd cheapest at the time just to compare and the material was better quality

as for monsoon some others i think have used but a lot more expensive  and used as location   near by

I got a Swansea one about six years ago.  Still going strong.
