Further to my other issue with the squeak I have a misfire.
2001 UK car with 58k on the clock.
No faults logged, tried a 2nd MAF but this is a used not tested item.
Cleaned MAFs
Sprayed contact cleaner all around inlet pipes and no change in idle.
Plugs all good
K&N panel was fitted, removed and no change.
When driven it drives perfectly after the misfire.
On super unleaded.

1st & 2nd revs both gentle throttle pedal.
3rd & 4th stabbing throttle. Much less misfire on these 2 revs.

I have ordered a new MAF as genuine on eBay for under £40 and was last one.

Read about people resetting ecu after MAF change by disconnecting battery for a few mins.
Did this and problem sorted.
