I did an oil change on my MR2 the other day, only after I refitted the nappy I thought of taking a look at the Aux drive/serpentine belt
would like to know if it's now time to replace the belt, the car has done 90K, we've owned the car from around 14 months old and never had the belt changed has no A/C

I've seen worse, but it's about due.
I always recommend Gates belts. They cost a bit more but the quality is hard to beat.
There's a 'How To' for changing the belt.

If further endorsement of the Gates product is necessary, my daily, a Ford , had a replacement cam belt fitted a few years ago by the Main Dealer I bought the car from. It is a privately owned dealership and the son of the MD is the Work shop Manager, who recommended and fitted a Gates Cam belt in preference to a Ford OE part.

I also fitted a Gates auxiliary belt to my 2 , I did find that I needed a third hand ( son in law obliged). Carolyn , after my event , " published " a "How To", for solo installation,

For all it takes and the relatively low cost I did mine a couple of years ago for peace of mind. Had been carrying a spare for a couple of years before that!
Didn't have any visible cracks but it looked a bit sad. I used a Continental belt, not for any particular reason, but it has been fine so far.
It's so easy and cheap to do, just do it anyway. Mine looked very similar to yours but the grooves on the inside were very cracked. I got a Gates.
