Title: Wiper motor change.
Post by: AJRFulton on December 4, 2024, 22:50
Finally trundled the car back out after long storage.

The wiper motor had stopped working. Popped down to JSpec and got a like for like.

Installed, but the wipers now seem to go backwards (ie they go down first then up). Watching the screw it turns clockwise first then anti clockwise (it should be the other way about).

If I put them at their max position, they'd work fine, but they'd rest there.

Obviously I'm installing it wrong but cannot anywhere find a guide.

Not sure how that could happen.

Unless the wiring is different on early/later motors. I've undone the wiring clip and bolts, removed and put the new one on in the reverse of the removal process.
