Title: Brake refubishment
Post by: Rushy67 on December 28, 2024, 17:38
Hi all,

I am going to have the whole braking system overhauled on "Bambi" next year and need some advice.
Caliper's - Do i get some spare OE calipers refurbed by Big Red ,cost approx £400 or just purchase brand new calipers? If so which make?
Discs - looking for suggestions as to a brand/make that do not rust or advice re any coating that it is possible to apply to stop rusting.

TIA

Pagid discs seem to do a good job. They do have a coating.  Of course the braking surface in contact with the pads will rust but the rest of the disc stays rust free.

I got new rear calipers from GT4Play and I'm very happy with them.

Theres alot of very cheap nasty calipers out there so if you're going to buy new buy from a reputable place not cheap ones off ebay.
