Last weekend I was browsing the Japanese internet for good deals on parts when I found a brand new condenser on sale for reasonable money. RHD condensers are basically impossible to source in the UK and I really want AC for the summer, so I took a £300 gamble to see what would arrive.
I ordered a Koyorad (Koyoair) condenser from here https://item.rakuten.co.jp/nextparts/k606001821/. Could not find any mention of this product anywhere else on the internet but still ordered it.
Today is has arrived and it looks to be the right part:

It is missing the mounting brackets but hopefully they can be transferred from the old one. The refrigerant ports locations seem to be in the right spot so I am hopeful it will fit! And they provided some o-rings, although I might use Toyota ones.
What do you say, does this condenser looks to be the right one ?
Does anyone know: if my AC system has been broken for 1-2 years, is it absolutely necessary to change every single o-ring or can I just replace the ones on the condenser pipes?
Any update on this? Did it fit and solve the problem? My system has a leak so I will be regassing with a dye to see where the leak is and I'm sure these are the usual suspects
It fit as the OEM one but I did have to transfer over the mounting brackets.
The aircon then worked for a few weeks before I got a new leak somewhere in the system. Haven't had time to diagnose it but will do it by the end of July.
Nice find i my also look at this option,
I now have another car this one came with factory fitted AC but at the moment no cold air , was looking at importing another LH condenser from the states and modifying the pipe work to suit but these are now also getting harder to find!
Other option is fitting another similar size condenser from another car.
hopefully this winter i can strip the system down and restore as i have missed having cold AC
I appreciate some things are, but I would be surprised if the condenser is mr2 specific. Surely MrT would have wanted to keep production costs down and used the same part across multiple platforms.
Just my thoughts.

It is MR2-specific unfortunately, and the comparative rarity of RHD aircon (believe only fitted to cars with factory hard top) meant there was seemingly little appetite for third parties to produce them en-mass.
I got one as brand new old stock years ago, but had put the hours into cross-comparing parts references to no avail. You're also up against the placement of the connections, which (mulaz correct me if I'm wrong) were hard lines on the MR2 rather than flexi.
The Abarth 500c I've got, despite being parts-compatible with the bog standard F500 for the most part, also has an Abarth specific condenser. I think rads and condensers are reasonably cheap to make it worthwhile creating specific tooling.
The dessicant pouch for the MR2 receiver drier may be more generic, but good luck getting that out of an old condenser without twisting and distorting it.
