Title: Mannol OIl
Post by: valguss2001 on April 9, 2025, 15:10
Hi guys

Just thinking about doing an oil service and was wondering if this would be OK to put in?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MANNOL-Energy-Premium-engine-litres/dp/B01BKS2PO4/

I appear to be burning a bit of oil when running around so maybe I want to go for 5w-40?

Cheers

Tom

They make different oil at different specs just like any company.  I buy it when there's an offer on ebay.
Whether there's any point in a 40w in a burner, - no idea.  But a 5w30 is usuaully cheaper than a 40.

Thanks Gaz

I'll go with the 5w30 for the moment then and see how I get on

Cheers

Found Mannol a few years ago and been using in my car - all good so far with the 5w30 fully synthetic

I've used Mannols 5w40 in mine for years and no problems. Same goes for Mannols pink coolant as it's a fraction of the price of what Toyota sells it for.

Also for work, I often have to visit an Audi dealership and they stock tonnes of Mannol products and seem to use them in all their cars, including R8's and RS models. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for an MR2 lol.
