Title: Steering Wheel Controls
Post by: Hawko on June 27, 2025, 15:10
Since upgrading my headunit for safety and ease of use I have wanted to add steering wheel controls.
Bought some £8 chinese specials and looked at trying to fit them where the change buttons are for an SMT but the controls are too big and didn't fancy carving up the steering wheel anyway.

So mark 1 mounting attempt consists of a plastic bracket (composite fencing material) screwed to the back of the wheel each side with a couple of self tappers, with the controls stuck on using double sided 3M tape.

Quite pleased with the result discrete and fairly solid, and if they need to come off, there are only a couple screw holes out of view on the back of the wheel each side.
