Title: fine scratches in the plastic trim
Post by: Craigjm on August 14, 2025, 12:21
I am having my seats retrimmed in a couple of weeks time. When I have sparkly new seats, door cards and gearstick gaitor the interior plastics are going to look a tad shabby in places. There are some fine scratches on the doors in the black plastic and a couple in the dashboard. What is the best way of getting rid of those apart from swapping them for ones that do not have any scratches which i guess may be an option from J-spec?

On the door pulls do the silver parts come away from the rest of it so can be replaced or refurbed or is it all one part?

Being picky i know but the rest of the car is now as new  ;D

@Craigjm , I have a set of door cards going for free if you want to salvage any parts from them and/or test any remediation work on them

PM your postcode if it's convenient for me to drop them off tomorrow - it would probably be around 12 ish if that works or if there is somewhere I can discreetly leave them maybe?
