Title: Has anybody skinned their bonnet and engine cover?

as the title - I'm looking at more weight saving over winter and wondered if anyone had attempted this I can't see a fibreglass bonnet being much lighter than a bonnet skin and as I'm using bonnet pins I don't need the strength
