Title: Speakers
Post by: Zxrob on September 14, 2025, 14:00
Hi All.
Is there a direct replacement for the door speakers, I have the OE ones in at the moment but one has gone again, changed it before, not looking for anything expensive or special as I very rarely have the radio on.

Cheers Rob

I have Sony ones which are a direct replacement.  I'm happy with them - but then my hearing ain't the best! ;D

I have some taken out of my car that worked fine before I changed them, I can dig them out and send you a pic of condition if you like

They are just standard 16.5 components and you will need a fitting ring set to fit aftermarket speakers. You can pay anything from £20 up to £1000s for a set. The stock wire is rubbish too so you really need to change that too. Are you planning on just keeping the standard head unit?

Many have used the original speakers as fitting rings. Remove, cut out the entire diaphram & use the frame that's left to mount your new speakers.
